  Game Trader World is a website invented and developed by Mike Festa, an avid gamer since the age of 5. Mike knows the strengths and weaknesses of the video game business and wanted to offer a better alternative to the end-gamer. His creation, Game Trader World is a useful and user-friendly website where fellow gamers can trade their games, share their passion, and be part of a gaming community.

  With new, more expensive systems coming out, it's hard enough to find the extra cash for the system, let alone buy new games to keep it interesting. You no longer have to choose between an expensive rental service or trading your game back for half of what you paid for it. At Game Trader World, connect with other users who want to play the game you just finished and have the one that you've been dying to play. Both games are working, in good condition and can be traded for just 99¢ and a couple of bucks for shipping (Media Mail starts at 80¢). When you list a game, it stays up there until you trade it or take it down, and unlike EBay, there is no listing fee.

If you want to give a user credit for referring you, enter their name and their account will be credited once you make your first payment.   You can edit your personal information at any time. Once you're signed in, click on My Account on the left side menu. You can edit all of your personal information such as your mailing address, password or your email address. You can also customize your experience by setting your User Picture, choosing a theme and setting a signature for your posts.

  Note: If you change your email address, you will have to re-confirm the new one.

  You live on campus during the school year, you spend half the summer at your mom's house and the other half at your dad's, and you are in Miami for spring break? We've got you covered. You can add as many mailing addresses as you like and assign one of them as your primary address. Every time you trade, you'll be asked which address you want to use.

  Note: Once you make an offer (or accept an offer), the address you provide will be locked to that transaction. If you update your mailing address before the trade is finished, the address you used originally is the one that your game will be sent to.

  The creator of GameTraderWorld is a young web-developer, named Mike Festa. He is 23, lives in Massachusetts and established his legal corporation in August 2006, Festa Technologies LLC.

  After High School, Mike studied at the Air Force Academy for two years, but realizing that the military wasn't for him, transferred to George Washington University where he majored in Computer Science. Mike has been developing websites for almost 10 years, which gave him a lot of experience going into GameTraderWorld.com.

  During his last semester at GW, Mike began working on Game Trader World. Since the age of 5, Mike has had a passion for video games. As a gamer himself, Mike wanted to create a website that benefits gamers and makes it easier and cheaper for them to acquire new games. Mike came up with the idea for Game Trader World when he realized that he no longer plays half of the games he owns and that he could get a lot of new games if he could trade game for game. With the recent launch of the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the Wii, Mike, like most gamers, is tempted to buy a lot of new games. But, video games are more and more expensive and it represents a real sacrifice to buy new ones. In consequence, Mike decided to develop a website which allows users to get games without spending a fortune.

  Game Trader World was born from Mike's passion for video games as well as his desire to create a website that can make a difference in the life of a gamer.

  Game Trader World was written to W3C Standards (HTML 4.01 Strict) and should work with all standards compliant browsers that support CSS and have JavaScript enabled. However, since every browser is different and each has its own peculiarities, it is possible that our site will not work as intended on your browser. We optimized our site for Firefox 2.0 and recommend that to all of our users. We tested every page using Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 1.5, Firefox 2.0, Opera 9 and Netscape 7.2. If you find any bugs, we urge you to use the Bug Report in the Feedback Module, on the left hand side of the screen.
